Her Morning Elegance by Oren Lavie
Casually reblogging my old blog and finding hidden gems like this.
No, but have you seen the music video?
^Yes! SO great,
Alex Honnold enjoys the high lonesome on the mile-long ridge of Matthes Crest, a spectacular 5.6 in Yosemite National Park, California.

oh my god
only a 5.6? I can do that! I didn’t think outdoor climbing went that low…
Outdoor climbing invented that low! There are beautiful, 10 pitch 5.4s on the Flatirons by Boulder that even mere mortals can, and do, solo.
you guys, are you sure you wanna do free solo for more then 5-6 meters even if it’s easy??
I’ve soloed the Flatirons. And Mt. Olympus, in Utah. Soloing is a state of mind, not a goal.
Sorry, just uh, chiming back in on my post here. But really, if you don’t want to do it, you’re not in the mindset. Soloing requires 100% calm and certainty. So yes. When you decide you want to do it, you’re sure.
